This week, I used to be fortunate sufficient to see a screening of Babes, which comes out tomorrow – and is AMAZING. Two greatest pals (performed by Ilana Glazer and Michelle Buteau) navigate the chaos of being pregnant and childbirth and friendship. “I got here from making Broad Metropolis with Abbi Jacobson, the place we had so totally described our 20s,” Ilana mentioned throughout the post-screening Q&A. “Then my pals and I have been in our 30s, and we began placing collectively a listing of the funniest issues we might, just like the physicality of motherhood — your boobs, the horniness, all of the stunning shit.” I laughed for the primary 90% of the film and wept the final 10%.
