I really like our Brooklyn house (that’s the visitor room, above), and now that we’ve been residing right here for nearly eight years, I’m very conversant in all of the nooks and crannies. 1. Cling artwork in sudden locations. How cool is that framed drawing beneath the window? I really like seeing art work positioned excessive up, low down, round corners…

2. Paint our staircase. Proper now, our stairs and the hallway are white, which is ok however meh. Even when we didn’t go all out, just like the townhouse above, perhaps we might paint the banister pale pink or darkish blue.

3. Show guide covers. I forgot how good it seems when a number of books face out from a bookcase, and I’d particularly like to do it with this John Currin cowl.

4. Clean up the art work. Two 12 months in the past, I gave our lounge a ‘fakeover’ by shifting round two work, and I used to be amazed by how completely different the house regarded.
